  • Stand or sit with good posture.
  • The Standard Qigong Rules apply.
  • Exhaling follow the breath down the front of the body (see blue arrow) from the tip of the tongue to the perineum.
  • Inhaling follow the breath up the back (see red arrow) from the perineum over the crown past the third eye to the tip of the tongue as the inhalation completes.

Auburn Free T’ai Chi

Sessions generally last for 60 minutes. A Session consist of both exercises (qigong) and T’ai Chi (White Dragon Short Form). Beginners are welcome to join at any time, there is not a special “beginner” class; you will “do T’ai Chi” in your first session and learn something in each subsequent session for years to come.

Auburn Free T’ai Chi of Auburn California practice on Tuesday and Thursday morning in the Auburn Library Meeting Room at 8:00 AM. Sessions are one hour.

The Auburn Free T’ai Chi of also practices outside on Friday morning, rain or shine (in the covered picnic area), in Railhead Park in front of the pond. Session run from 8:00 to 9:00 AM.

We call our group Auburn Free T’ai Chi because there is not cost to the participants.

In addition to the above free sessions, the Auburn Senior Center’s T’ai Chi and Qigong class is held Monday’s at 9:15 AM. Here ASC membership is required and participation fees are collected to support the facilities. The same curriculum is taught in these session.
