“My mom would put my sister and me on the bus in Lompoc at some time in the morning and we’d ride all the way through the night, getting to Grant’s Pass at about 7am to see my dad. We’d layover in San Francisco when the bus station was on Market street, what a scene! My poor mom had no idea, and when I wrote this song, she said it made the hair on the back of her neck stand up! At the time, though, I loved it, it was a big adventure. This is actually years of Greyhound bus rides all condensed into one song.” —Rebecca Troon
