Mick Moloney and Athena Tergis have been musical collaborators for over fifteen years both as members of The Green Fields of America and as a duo. They have performed in many different iterations on stages across the globe and collaborated on five albums and the documentary film Absolutely Irish. Their close musical interplay leave audiences on the edge of their seats while embarking on a musical journey to Ireland, Scotland and America through tunes, songs, stories.

Originally from Limerick Ireland, Mick Moloney is a National Heritage Award-winning Musician, Author and producer of over 40 albums. He holds a Ph.D. in folklore and is currently Global Distinguished Professor of Irish Studies and Music at NYU. Awarded the Presidential Distinguished Service Award and the TG4 Outstanding Contribution award in 2014, Mick Moloney continues to inspire, teach and perform at the highest level.

Native to San Francisco, Athena Tergis released her first album of original and Scottish music at sixteen before moving to Ireland, immersing herself in the music. She has toured with the Sharon Shannon Band, Riverdance, the Clarence Clemons band, The Green Fields of America and many more. She is also a frequent soloist with the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborator with Riverdance-composer Bill Whelan.

I have attended many of Athena’s fiddle workshops at Lark in the Morning music camp, and she is my absolute favorite teacher. Her teaching is as dynamic as her fiddling. Don’t miss this!!!
