We first saw Pete Grant years ago on stage with Dervish. Imagine our surprise when he walked into the Latitudes Sunday night session and whipped out a 10 string dobro, what a wonderful soulful sound.

Pete and Phyllis (flute) Grant are regulars at Latitudes and when they don’t have a gig/conflict they attend our monthly session and occasionally the In Harmony’s Way Up In Auburn song circle.

Pete’s first performance at the Auburn House Concerts was with Paddy Keenan & Tommy O’Sullivan. Pete normally tours with Paddy on the west coast and has done some recording with Tommy.

Pete next accompanied Gerry O’Beirne, a night of guitars.

Pete used to play with the bluegrass band The Dillards. He was with the band when they asked a then unknown autoharp artist to open their show.  Years later Pete reconnected with Bryan Bowers for a couple of tunes at Bryan’s Auburn House Concert in May 2009.
